We build software that does more of its own setup and follow-through.
Our first project is Capy.
Why the name
In programming, zero is where counting often starts. For us, it is also a target: nothing unnecessary.
Ceremony is the setup, translation, repetition, and supervision that software leaves to the user.
Some steps still matter. Consent, security, and judgment do not go away.
Zero unnecessary ceremony.
What we believe
Computers should handle the work required only to operate computers.
People should not need to stitch together accounts, files, software, and retry logic before they can ask for something useful.
The machinery can be complex. The experience should be plain.
How we work
We begin with a familiar task and try the best available tools.
When something is missing, we build just enough to learn whether it matters. We keep technical feasibility separate from product value.
That keeps us from building a large system around the wrong problem.
Current stage
Zero Ceremony is in research and development.
