A public introduction to your business
Your listing describes the work you take on or the products you supply, who you help, and any conditions you choose to include. Customers can follow your approved website, business email or supported contact link to discuss their requirements with you.
You receive a public profile link you can share. A basic listing does not require a portfolio, fixed prices or a product catalogue. See current business listings for the published format.
Three steps, starting with what you already have
- Send an introduction. Share your business name, what you offer and who it helps. A website, professional profile or existing introduction is enough to begin. Include a private reply contact so we can follow up.
- Review your proposed listing. We prepare the description and customer contact arrangement. Correct the wording or approve the exact proposal in your conversation with us.
- Approve publication. Your approved listing can be read without signing in. Ask for corrections, a pause or removal by replying to the same conversation.
Choose the introduction that fits your work
- Freelancers and independent professionals: describe your expertise, the assignments you accept and how a prospective client should approach you.
- Agencies and studios: explain your team’s services, relevant project examples and where a new brief should go.
- Suppliers and wholesalers: describe what you supply, your usual buyers and the order conditions that matter.
What does a listing cost?
Preparing and publishing your business listing is free. You discuss any paid work or order with the business customer directly. Mercator does not quote or accept an order on your behalf.
Do I need an account or a website?
No Mercator account is required. If you do not have a website, send a few lines about your work and tell us how customers should contact you. The address used to reply to your submission stays private unless you separately select and approve it as a public business contact.
Will a listing bring me customers?
Mercator is a growing directory. A listing gives your business a public introduction and a contact route; it does not promise enquiries, search rankings or sales. You keep control over the description and choose whether to accept any work.
